An Anjou Chateau to yourself …

Briottieres  is the ideal location for you to organise your family reunion or your seminar.

You can rent the entire Chateau as the setting for your event.

Staying in Briottieres you have the feeling in being in times gone past The memories of yester-year flood back !

The atmosphere of the setting is real .  This is a traditional Chateau as our grand parents have handed down to us.

Rent the Chateau only  : 10 Double Rooms and 1 Single . 10 Bathrooms.
Or
Rent Le Fruitier only  : 6 Double Rooms and 4 Bathrooms.
Or
Le Fruitier and the Chateau  : 16 Double Rooms, 1 Single room , 14 Bathrooms.

Some suggested itinerary for the Chateau des Briottieres.

1st Day

• Life in the Chateau
• Arrival of your group at the TGV station of Angers in the afternoon with bus transfer to the Chateau des Briottieres.
• Welcome to the Chateau by the owners Mr and Mrs de Valbray.
• Candle lit dinner in the Chateau dining room ( Traditional cooking , aperitif, wines, coffee, and digestifs included.
• Night in the castle

2nd Day

• Tour of Anjou
• Continental Breakfast

The morning

• Tour of the Chateau and park with the owner
• Visit to the Chateau du Plessis Bourre (10Km)

Then a choice of a visit in Anjou or the Saumur region.

Visit Anjou :

• Lunch in a gastronomic restaurant ( all inclusive) or lunch in the medievil kitchens of the Chateau de Brissac with a wine tasting from the Chateau cellar.
• Visit to the Cointreau distillery or the Chateau of Angers where you will see the Tapissiere d'Acpocalypse - the oldest surviving tapestries in the world. Alternatively a tourof the Chateau de Serrant ,the vineyards of Anjou, the Chateau de Brissac ( the tallest Chateau in France) or just free time to explore Angers and it's shops and gardens.

Saumur region :

• Lunch at the Chateau de Verrieres in Saumur.
• Visits to the cellars of Langlois-Chateau or the Abbey de Fontevraud.
• Return to Chateau des Briottieres.
• Gastronomic dinner by candlelight ( all inclusive)
• Evening in the Chateau with choices of ( not included in the price) - wine tasting , a musical evening, or similar.
• Night in the castle

3rd Day

• Departure day
• Continental breakfast
• Bus to Angers

OPTION 1

3rd day

• Trip along the banks of the Sarthe ( full day with drop off in Angers late afternoon)

The morning :

• In the morning a visit to the Abbaye de Solesmes - Gregorian Chants.
• Visit the Malicorn potteries.
• Lunch at the Petit Auberge.

Afternoon :

• Boat trip on the Sarthe.

• Full day exploring the villages and sights along the Sarthe river.
• Return to the Chateau for an extra night.

The Chateau is available for hire for a minimum of 2 nights in the high season ( June to September inc.)

Hire of our Reception rooms - L'Orangerie

L'Orangerie is situated in a closed courtyard 150 metres from the Chateau and is available for hire for your dinners, dances, parties, conference or weddings. It has a capacity of 180 people seated.

Access is direct from the main road via a private avenue.

The calm of the Chateau is guaranteed as L'Orangerie is enclosed, far enough from the chateau and has its own separate access.

For wedding receptions or other events at L'Orangerie the bedrooms at the Chateau are only available by prior agreement excpet where the Chateau, L'Orangerie and Le Fruitier have been booked as a package.
