Come and enjoy a luxury castle hotel in the Loire Valley
Les Briottières is both a private family chateau and a luxurious hotel. Situated in Anjou, this 18th century property has been in the same family for seven generations. We welcome each guest personally.
Situated at the crossroads of Brittany, Normandy and the Pays de la Loire, a convenient distance from the Ile d'Yeu or the Ile de Ré, between Mont St Michel and the splendid Chateaux de la Loire, staying at Briottières is a unique experience.
The dining room is perhaps the most beautiful room in the Chateau. Magnificent decor with a 19th century marble effect wall, and original wood mouldings and parquet floor.
Dinner is served each evening at small tables in the dining room.
The menu is unique and changes each day.
Reservation is required.
Breakfast buffet, offering fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, pastries, croissants, orange juice, pancakes....as much as you wish!

On our tour of chateau hotels through the Loire, this was our favourite, and should not be missed. As we swept up the drive, through a pastoral scene of open fields and wide stream, the ancestral owner came out to give us a charming welcome. Not to repeat the rave reviews from other guests, I would add that this hotel is a genuine family home stuffed with beautiful, personal memorabilia.
A kind and friendly welcome, a beautiful old chateau in the style you would expect. Big comfy sofas, lots of receptions rooms, library, billiards, swimming pool, orangery. Good clean air, no street lights, and certainly no traffic noise.
Food - excellent - no choice but it feels like you have been allowed into someone's home and you are having supper followed by a night-cap in the library.
